30 weeks

How I'm feeling: Good. I start 5 weeks of night float tonight. Working 5pm to 7am. This should be fun when I'm 30-ish weeks prego. Hopefully I get a little sleep here and there. At least then I will be done with night float for a long while when this new baby comes then.
Fetal movement: lots, again mostly at night. This baby is pretty quiet during the day and then goes crazy at night time.
Weight gain: 18lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yes, although I may be increasing my glove size for surgeries soon. The size I was wearing is feeling a little snug
What I'm most excited for today: snuggling with my two kids. I was cuddling with Violet in bed today and was thinking how fun it will be to add a baby into the mix.
What I'm most afraid of: labor pains. They say you forget how bad it hurts, but I did not. I vividly remember and although the pain I had was short lived with Violet, thanks to a pretty quick labor and epidural, I am not looking forward to that pain again...
Cravings: Cereal, fruit loops, honey nut cheerios, it all sounds good to me
Anything make you sick: nope
Miss anything: bending over without a baby blocking me

My face in the picture below describes how I feel about still being pregnant. Although this pregnancy has gone incredibly fast and has been relatively easy, 40 weeks is far too long to be pregnant in my book.

3rd trimester, onto the home stretch

How I'm feeling: Good. Hips aren't sore, back is doing ok. Not feeling too fat most days :). Just the usual tired thing. Life has been so incredibly busy lately though. I have the weekend off, so I will be sleeping in and napping and relaxing. It will be glorious. I feel so lucky that Vi sleeps in until 830 or 9. Gonna soak it up in case this baby is an early riser.
Fetal movement: yep, most at night. I think that's just because I'm too busy to notice it during the day.
Weight gain: 16lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yep, but getting a little snug
What I'm most excited for today: that I've made it to the 3rd trimester! Neonatal survival and outcomes are so much better now. Of course, I don't want to deliver anytime soon, but I know the baby has a much better chance just in case I did.
What I'm most afraid of: I see way too many scary things that happen every day because of what I do, but one of the saddest is stillbirths. Most of the time, I just live in denial that these things can't happen to me, but seeing bad things like that, it does scare me quite a bit.
Cravings: sweet, sweet, sweet. Cookie here. Ice cream there....
Anything make you sick: nope
Miss anything: Normal work outs. While I love prenatal yoga, when I go to the gym or try to run, my body quickly reminds me that I am not near as capable as I was back in February (side bar, man I have been prego forever it seems like lol)

First pic is from Violet, second is this pregnancy

Had some fun taking pics this time. Violet wanted to pose in some of them. I wish you could see the heels she chose to wear lol... A little blurry but still so cute of my first baby!

26 weeks and an expanding waist line

How I'm feeling: Good overall (yes, I am still tired most days). I was having all of this hip pain, but that seems to have passed for now. Fingers crossed! The other day I woke up with the worst leg cramp though and I was groaning and rolling around in bed. Scared the poop out of Scott, but he was a good sport and woke right up and massaged it for me. Thanks pregnancy!
Fetal movement: So much, when I pay attention. I find myself going the whole day, just so busy, and forgetting to notice if the baby has moved at all. So most of the time, its the end of the day when I'm feeling all the movement.
Weight gain: 13lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yep, but occasional hand swelling does make them snug sometimes
What I'm most excited for today: I had a co-resident ultrasound me the other day (don't worry, I didn't peak at gender). Looking at the profile of the baby, it got me so curious to know who this kiddo will look like. Will it blend in with Scott and Vi and be blonde haired and blue eyed? Or will it have dark hair/eyes like me? Who knows!!
What I'm most afraid of: Violet feeling forgotten or less loved because we have to split our attention between two kids. I know it will be good for her to not be the center of attention all the time, but I want her to remember how special she is to us!
Cravings: anything and everything sweet. Luckily I passed my gestational diabetes test, so bring on the sweets!
Anything make you sick: nope
Miss anything: Energy....

24 weeks

How I'm feeling: Pretty darn good. Again, tired most days. This baby has got to be sitting side to side in my hips or something because my hips are aching quite a bit lately. Luckily a little heat and stretching seems to help. I really shouldn't complain because life could be worse, but its my blog, so I can do what I want right?!  :-)
Fetal movement: lots! I can now even feel little feet sitcking out from time to time. Which is kinda fun because now I can start to poke this baby back!
Weight gain: 11lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yep
What I'm most excited for today: Watching vi be a big sister. This weekend we made some real progress on potty training. I loved watching her be so proud of herself - it was just adorable.
What I'm most afraid of: going into labor right around now. This period of time between like 23-28 weeks is always nerve racking to me because when they come out this early, they are so fragile and outcomes are so unknown. I will be excited when I am out of this zone.
Cravings: none really. Boring I know. I guess if you count my need for coffee or a latte on a daily basis.
Anything make you sick: not really, another boring answer.
Miss anything: a chilled white wine in the summer time. Or summer time mojitos. Oh, or margaritas. Summers are good for drinking...

One on the left is from Violet, one on the right is from No Name Baby #2...

Speaking of names, not sharing first off, sorry! :-) I think we have a boy name, but the girl name... I change my mind weekly so we shall see.

22 weeks

This blog post is a little early (not like me at all), but otherwise it may not get done!

How I'm feeling: Well I'm currently on a 24hr call shift in the hospital on the 4th of July while everyone else is having fun in the sun, barbequeing, and drinking... :) Really tho, I'm good. Ask me again tomorrow after I'm done with my shift! Baby is doing good. Moving A TON. Doing pretty large kicks/jabs now, which is fun.
Fetal movement: see above
Weight gain: 9lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yea
What I'm most excited for today: finding out the gender of this little stinker. Also looking forward to the baby snuggles. Those are just the best. There's nothing like holding your new baby, taking in that cute little new baby smell.
What I'm most afraid of: having enough time to enjoy two kids. There never seems to be enough of it for Violet and I, now we're adding another into the mix. I hope I can love them both enough in the little time we have.
Cravings: fruit, I think I may go get some after this!
Anything make you sick: there have been a couple smells lately that have made my stomach turn while at work, but in my line of business, I come across a lot of funky smells...
Miss anything: I easily forget how much harder it is to work out when you're prego. It's just so much easier when you're not carrying extra weight and don't have a belly in your way.

The little guy/girl is kicking me as we speak - just loving it!

Half way done!

How I'm feeling: kind of like a cow but I remember feeling this way last time too. Growing belly, gotta love it. But in truth, I feel very good. I even have some energy which is a bonus for me as a resident.
Fetal movement: every day now!! So fun!
Weight gain: 8lbs
Wearing wedding rings: yep
What I'm most excited for today: a cold beer after a long day again. And holding my new baby of course. :)
What I'm most afraid of today: the added expense of two kids. So much money to daycare and nannies....
Cravings: sweets, this baby is trying to give me diabetes
Stretch marks: nope
Anything make you sick: luckily, no. I wish sweets did.
Miss anything: ultrasounding my baby all the time. One of the perks of being in the business was being able to look at this little peanut regularly. Now that I could accidentally spy gender, I've had to stop. Sad for me, but look at my self control!!

18 weeks and growing

How I'm feeling:  today, tired, but that's probably because I worked overnight on Saturday and didn't sleep great Sunday. No other problems though. Hard to believe I'm almost half way done!
Fetal movement: lots, daily. Its so fun! Scott even felt a little kick the other night. This is my favorite part of pregnancy- all the movement is just the coolest feeling.
Weight gain so far: 7lbs
Wearing my weddings rings: yes
What I'm most excited for today: Baby snuggles. They are the BEST!
What I'm most afraid of today: preterm labor
Cravings: still on the sweets train...
Stretchmarks: no
Anything make you sick: not currently
Miss anything: not really this week. I forgot about the pooch you develop before the baby bump- the part where you just look fat instead of pregnant. Not my favorite...

Head below, with a hand right by it. Baby was measuring 9 ounces this week. This kiddo's getting big already. I also resisted the temptation to look while a co-resident scanned me, pretty proud of myself!
