Waiting on OHSU still.... losing a little hope, but trying to remain optimistic.

Baby updates:
How I'm feeling: very good as usual. At some point my luck may turn, lets hope not though.
Fetal movement: yes and starting to notice a little bit of a pattern. She likes to sleep in a certain spot at night, so its funny because I always know right where she's gonna be when I wake up in the morning. And its typically pushed right up as far as she can go against the front of my belly. I personally think she's trying to get closer to her daddy :).
Weight gain so far: 10 lbs.
Wearing my weddings rings: yes, no swelling... yet.
What I'm most excited for today: To hold my baby girl. I am BEYOND excited for this, and to see who she looks like!
What I'm most afraid of today: that I won't get an interview at OHSU and won't be taking my husband or my baby home for 4 more years :(

I don't have a belly sticker for 22 weeks, but I was seeing some definite changes in my belly, so I went ahead and took another pic. Also, my belly button.... I think it may pop out in about a month or so. Anyway, not so beautiful, but its fun to start to see the baby bump :)

Nursery is in progress- we are going with grays and yellows. Crib just arrived today, so that will be our next adventure. As you can see, there is not much to the room yet, but its slowly getting there. Once its done, I'll post more pics, but that may take some time :).

21 weeks and counting

21 and a half weeks and baby is moving like crazy. I swear sometime she is having a small parade in my belly! Nursery is getting closer to being done, still some painting to go though. Its coming together slowly and its been very fun creating it :). Hard to believe there will be a baby in there in less than 4 months. WEIRD! Next belly bump picture isn't until 24 weeks and I have a feeling there will be a big change, so get excited people :). My belly button is starting to look a little strange, all stretched out.

A few weeks back I was able to travel to Florida to see my grandparents. It was really wonderful to get time with them and some of my aunts/uncles/cousins/etc.  My granddad has dementia, but he is so peaceful and very loving. It was wonderful to see him love on Eileen's kiddos, just so precious. Here are some pics from our trip....

Swimming with my granddad was a blast :)

20 weeks = Half way done!

20 weeks came this past Sunday. Time has flown by and for the most part, I have been able to enjoy being pregnant! I hope it stays this way! And a baby bump is slowly appearing! I went shopping for maternity pants today which was a joke. I did end up finding a couple of things, but holy cow there is a lot of ugly crap out there. Why do you have to feel fat and look terrible just because you're pregnant?!?! Seriously though, awful stuff. Luckily, I was able to find some humor in it, rather than becoming totally depressed about this new body. Also, Scott and I were able to find a rocking chair and changing table on Craigslist for $25! Just need a new paint job and they will be ready. It has been really fun knowing that we are having a little girl- makes the whole thing more real. And it makes it a little easier to bond with her I think.
New photo...

Quick baby updates:
How I'm feeling: Still good (knock on wood).
Feeling fetal movement: SO MUCH! And I love it! Scott was even able to feel her move a couple of times.
Weight gain so far: 8-9 lbs.
Names: Many... it is more difficult than I thought it would be to name a human. So much pressure!
What I'm most excited for today: The nursery. I am going into nesting mode for sure and can't wait to get it together!
What I'm most afraid of today: that I will go into early labor while I'm away on an interview... Trying not to think of that.

Residency update:
I have about 13 interviews set up for all over, but probably won't keep a lot of those just because they are in less ideal places for our growing family (St. Louis, Kansas City, etc.). Still waiting on OHSU!!! C'mon Oregon!

Scott update done by Scott himself:
Well not too much to report with me. I have been given the task of painting the nursery and the nursery furniture (thanks Craigslist!) which has certainly made everything feel very real. Becca has been trying to make me more of a "man" by giving me tasks to do around the house like fix the roof and care about the lawn...maybe she feels our little girl will be too girly?
OSU has been keeping my Saturdays amazing. 4-0 and now ranked #10 in the nation. The PAC 12 channel was a solid investment.
Other than that work has been great as usual. Knowing my lovely wife will be with me during Christmas in likely the last time we can celebrate in Omaha makes me look forward to another busy 4th Quarter in retail!
