Crazy to believe that my beautiful little girl is 6 months old! Where does the time go?!?! She has been such a tremendous blessing in our lives. And she changes so much every day! The other day, while Scott and I were hiking, she said mama. I know it was a fluke, but Scott heard it too, so I know I didn't imagine it. Her 2 little teeth are so stinking adorable (although they are like daggers when she gets a hold of your finger). She's moving around like crazy. We put her down in one spot in her crib at night and by the time we get her up in the morning, she's facing the opposite way in a completely different spot. She's still a great sleeper. She takes great naps with the daycare and nanny and then refuses to nap too long on her days off with Scott or I. I think she's just trying to get every second she can with us, which is ok with me. She sits up better each day, but still has accidents regularly because she's not very steady. She loves eating and trying new foods. 6 months marks the end of breastfeeding and I'm super sad about it. It was so hard at first and such a task, but now that it's ending, I'm realizing just how much I actually do enjoy it. I have a lot of guilt about it. I'm already gone so much with work and now I'm taking this from her too, but I just can't keep my supply up. Hopefully with the next kiddo, I can make it to a year. I've been working on making lots of baby food instead as a way to make up for stopping (at least in my mind). Violet is such a little trooper and so friendly to everyone she comes across. I love her so very much and each day is all the more wonderful. Who knew being a mommy could be this great?!?!?!

Vi loves bath time!!
Scott is busy with Target - working like a mad man for our family. Taking great care of me and Violet every step of the way. He is an outstanding hubby and daddy. We are some lucky ladies.
I am working long hours on labor and delivery but loving every second. I have delivered a little over 20 babies so far and been first assist on 3 c-sections. It is soooo cool to finally get to do it all instead of watching everything as med students tend to do. I love my program and my co-residents! I feel very reassured that I am doing the right thing and know I will feel very fulfilled in my profession. And while I'm regularly tired and not working out like I would like to be doing, I'm a happy mom, wife, and resident, so I guess you could say, I'm in a pretty good spot right now :). More soon.
