What's not to love about this month: the smell of the Christmas tree, the classic movies, seeing all the twinkly lights, and now, shopping for my little cutie! I'm pretty sure Violet will enjoy the wrapping paper more than the presents themselves, so we are going minimal on gifts for her, while we can. I'm off Christmas day, Vi's first Christmas! Then Violet and I are going back to Portland for a few days to spend some time with our families there. I can't wait!!! Wish Scott could come with us, but per the usual, Target is super busy at this time... Gotta love retail. Scott's store got a new store manager and that seems to have helped out a ton with Scott's mood about the store. He's busy, but he's so good about supporting my love of Xmas. Just last night, we decorated a gingerbread house while watching Elf. Man, I just love it!! Violet is doing great. The whole family just got over a TERRIBLE stomach bug. Had to go to the ER to get Violet some anti-nausea meds and Scott and I spent a whole day at the toilet. TMI, I know. I lost 3lbs in 24hrs and Violet wouldn't eat normal for a week. It was tough. She is a wild woman, going anywhere and everywhere she can. She loves cruising around, but is WAY too wobbly to stand by herself. I think we have still a few months before she walks, unless she suddenly realizes how to stabilize her crazy hips and jello knees lol. I am back on labor and delivery during the day, which means 12hr days and less time at home. Its hard to be away, but its so fun to be back delivering babies. I've delivered 80+ babies so far - the other day I had 4 c-sections in a row, and got to do a vacuum assisted delivery too! Its tiring, but I love it! Just in case I don't get around to posting before it, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!
After just waking up... how cute is she!
Seeing the Xmas tree for the first time

And finally, our ugly family Christmas photo...
